The Bank of England publishes daily exchange rates, interest rates, and monetary statistics through its Statistical Interactive Database (SIAD). No authentication required.

Date Format

• Dates use DD/Mon/YYYY format (e.g. "01/Jan/2025")
• Weekends and bank holidays have no data points (weekday data only)

Gotchas

• One MCP tool call can list many currencies; the integration loads each BoE series in a separate upstream CSV request and merges by date (BoE rejects many multi-series combinations in a single query).
• In the tool response, each rates row uses the same currency strings you requested (e.g. USD, EUR) as keys when you used shorthand; if you pass a BoE mnemonic, that mnemonic is the column key.
• Response is CSV format from BoE, parsed into JSON by the tools
• Some series have gaps on public holidays
• Latest data is typically T+1 (yesterday's rates available today)
